After the walk through Lüneburg I was decently cold and I decided to go into one of my favourite churches to defreeze. St. Johannis church is a landmark in Lüneburg due to its slightly lopsided tower roof. Inside its a beautiful combination of a mostly old church with three modern stained glass windows in one side ship. But its most breathtaking feature is the beautifully crafted big gothic church organ. It was originally built from 1551 till 1553 but  further enlarged during the centuries. Johann Sebastian Bach, who went to school at St. Michaelis School got lessons here from 1700 til 1702. Those who are capable of reading German can find detailed information of the organs history on
