Hamburg
The city of Hamburg is consisting of 7 boroughs that are devided into 104 districts (1 July 2011). According to Wikipedia Hamburg is the second biggest city of Germany with little less than 1.8 million inhabitants (31 July 2011) and currently number 12 on the European continent. About 3.5 million people live in the metropolitan region. With 2302 bridges (datas from www.hamburg.de, the city's official website) it boasts more bridges than Venice and Amsterdam together. But to be fair one should maybe measure the number of bridges per m². The port is visited by roundabout 12,000 ships per year. Hamburg is a major center of industry, commerce and media in Europe. But despite its size there are many green corners in its boundaries. Trees lining the roads, parks and nature reserves, a large countryside producing vegetables, flowers and fruits and a little North Sea Island - they all belong to the city. Welcome some tours through my hometown.
